🥣 Ingredients
- 8 oz elbow macaroni (uncooked)
- ¼ cup butter
- 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 2 ½ cups milk
- 2 cups shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt & black pepper, to taste
For Topping:
- 2 tbsp butter
- ½ cup dry bread crumbs
- Pinch of paprika
🔪 Short Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish.
- Cook macaroni in salted water until al dente, drain, and transfer to dish.
- In a saucepan, melt butter. Whisk in flour and cook 1 minute.
- Gradually whisk in milk, cook until slightly thickened.
- Stir in Cheddar and Parmesan until smooth. Season with salt and pepper.
- Pour cheese sauce over pasta, stir to coat.
- Mix breadcrumbs with melted butter, sprinkle on top, then dust with paprika.
- Bake for about 30 minutes, until golden and bubbling.
