Description

Delicious air fryer apple fritters that are quick to make, soft, and coated in a sweet glaze. Perfect as a fast snack or a warm treat.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ cups (222g) flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon fine sea salt
  • ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ⅓ cup (67g) granulated sugar
  • 3 tablespoons (42g) unsalted butter, melted
  • ½ cup (128g) unsweetened applesauce
  • ¼ cup (60ml) milk of choice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 large apple, peeled and diced
  • Glaze:
  • 1 ½ cups (180g) powdered sugar
  • 23 tablespoons milk of choice

Instructions

  1. Whisk flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon in a bowl.
  2. Mix sugar with melted butter in another bowl. Add applesauce, milk, and vanilla extract.
  3. Combine wet and dry ingredients, then fold in the diced apples.
  4. Preheat air fryer to 400°F and lightly spray the basket.
  5. Drop ¼-cup scoops of batter into the basket, spacing well.
  6. Air fry for 5–6 minutes until golden.
  7. Mix powdered sugar with milk to create glaze. Drizzle over warm fritters before serving.

Notes

Do not overmix the batter. Check fritters near the end of cook time to avoid burning.
