Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar together until fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the flour mixture to the creamed mixture, alternating with milk. Mix until everything is well combined.
- Divide the batter evenly between the two prepared pans.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cakes to cool before removing them from the pans.
- Once cooled, frost the cake with whipped cream or buttercream.
