Description

A classic cake recipe that’s perfect for any occasion, easy to make and deliciously rewarding.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups of all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ cups of sugar
  • 1 cup of milk
  • ½ cup of unsalted butter (softened)
  • 3 ½ tsp of baking powder
  • 1 tsp of vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp of salt
  • 3 large eggs

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt in a mixing bowl.
  3. Cream the softened butter and sugar together until light and fluffy in another bowl.
  4. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  6. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients, alternating with the milk, beginning and ending with the flour mixture.
  7. Pour the batter into a greased cake pan.
  8. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool on a wire rack.

Ensure all ingredients are at room temperature for better consistency. Don’t overmix to keep the cake light and fluffy.
