- 2 cups of all-purpose flour
- 1 ½ cups of sugar
- 1 cup of milk
- ½ cup of unsalted butter (softened)
- 3 ½ tsp of baking powder
- 1 tsp of vanilla extract
- ½ tsp of salt
- 3 large eggs
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt in a mixing bowl.
- Cream the softened butter and sugar together until light and fluffy in another bowl.
- Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Gradually mix in the dry ingredients, alternating with the milk, beginning and ending with the flour mixture.
- Pour the batter into a greased cake pan.
- Bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool on a wire rack.
Notes
Ensure all ingredients are at room temperature for better consistency. Don’t overmix to keep the cake light and fluffy.
