Description

A delightful celebration cake perfect for any festive occasion, beautifully decorated and sure to impress.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ cups sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2 ½ teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • For frosting: 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 4 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Stir in the vanilla extract and mix until combined.
  5. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt in another bowl.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with milk, until everything is mixed well.
  7. Pour the batter into greased cake pans.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then remove them from the pans and let them cool completely on a wire rack.
  10. Beat together the butter and powdered sugar for the frosting, then mix in heavy cream and vanilla extract until smooth.
  11. Once the cakes are completely cooled, frost the top of one layer, place the second layer on top, and frost the top and sides of the cake.

Notes

Make sure all your ingredients are at room temperature for the best mixing results. For a moist cake, don’t overmix the batter.
