A traditional Moroccan pastry that is sweet, rich, and shaped like a flower, perfect for special occasions and Ramadan.
Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sesame seeds
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1/4 cup orange blossom water
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup honey
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Combine flour, sesame seeds, melted butter, orange blossom water, sugar, cinnamon, and salt to form a dough.
- Roll the dough out and cut it into strips.
- Shape the strips into a flower design.
- Heat oil in a deep pan and fry the shaped dough until golden brown.
- Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
- Dip the fried cookies in honey to coat thoroughly.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Serve warm or at room temperature with mint tea. Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
