Description

A flavorful Moroccan dish made with chicken thighs, spices, and olives, perfect for family dinners.


Ingredients

  • 4 chicken thighs
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1/2 cup green olives, pitted
  • 1 preserved lemon, sliced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a pot over medium heat. Add chopped onions and sauté until soft.
  2. Stir in garlic, cumin, ginger, cinnamon, turmeric, salt, and pepper, cooking for another minute.
  3. Add the chicken thighs, browning them on all sides.
  4. Pour in enough water to cover the chicken, and bring it to a simmer.
  5. Cover the pot and let it cook on low heat for about 40 minutes.
  6. Add the green olives and preserved lemon, cooking for an additional 10 minutes.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with fresh cilantro.
