Description

Delightful bite-sized treats combining warm cinnamon and sugar with soft, fluffy bread, perfect for breakfast or as a sweet snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 slices of bread (challah or brioche)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup sugar (for coating)
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon (for coating)
  • Butter or oil for cooking

Instructions

  1. Cut the bread into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, sugar, and salt.
  3. Dip each piece of bread into the egg mixture, ensuring it’s well coated.
  4. In a pan over medium heat, melt butter or oil.
  5. Cook the coated bread pieces for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  6. In a separate bowl, mix the sugar and cinnamon for coating.
  7. While still warm, roll the toast bites in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

Use stale bread for better texture; it soaks up the egg mixture without falling apart. Experiment with different types of bread for unique flavors.
