Description

A delicious, warm, and fluffy bread with a delightful swirl of cinnamon sugar, perfect for breakfast, snacks, or dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet (2 ¼ teaspoons) active dry yeast
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk, warmed
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup brown sugar

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix warm milk, yeast, and one tablespoon of sugar. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until it’s frothy.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together flour, remaining sugar, and salt.
  3. Add the melted butter and eggs to the yeast mixture. Stir well.
  4. Gradually add the flour mixture to the yeast mixture. Mix until combined to form a dough.
  5. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  6. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it rise for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  7. Punch down the dough and roll it into a rectangle on a floured surface.
  8. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon together. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the dough.
  9. Roll the dough tightly from one short end to another, pinching the seams to seal.
  10. Place the rolled dough in a greased loaf pan. Cover and let it rise for another 30-45 minutes.
  11. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  12. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the bread sounds hollow when tapped.
  13. Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Serve warm with butter or a drizzle of icing for extra sweetness. Wrap tightly for storage.
