Description

A hearty and filling casserole packed with hashbrowns, cheese, and your choice of meat, perfect for breakfast or brunch.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups frozen hashbrowns
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup diced cooked ham or sausage
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine the frozen hashbrowns, diced cooked ham or sausage, onion, and half of the cheddar cheese in a large bowl.
  3. Whisk together the milk, eggs, salt, pepper, and garlic powder in another bowl.
  4. Pour the egg mixture over the hashbrown mixture and stir until well incorporated.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  6. Bake for 30 minutes.
  7. Remove from the oven, sprinkle the remaining cheese on top, and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For a crispier top, increase the baking time. You can also add vegetables or use different types of cheese.
