- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a small bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large bowl, beat together the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Gradually blend in the dry ingredients until combined.
- Stir in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them apart.
- Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until they are golden brown.
- Let them cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks to cool completely.
Notes
Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week. For longer storage, freeze them in a freezer-safe bag.
