- 1 package of croissant dough (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 cup of fresh blueberries
- 2 tablespoons of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of lemon juice
- 1 egg (for egg wash)
- Powdered sugar (for dusting, optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Mix the fresh blueberries with sugar and lemon juice in a bowl. Set aside.
- Roll out the croissant dough on a clean surface.
- Cut the dough into triangles as directed.
- Place a spoonful of the blueberry mixture at the wide end of each triangle.
- Roll the triangle tightly from the wide end to the point, forming a crescent shape.
- Place the rolled croissants on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Beat the egg in a small bowl and brush the egg wash over each croissant.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Dust with powdered sugar before serving, if desired.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider adding cinnamon or nutmeg to the blueberry mixture. Ensure the blueberries are dry to avoid a soggy filling.
