Ingredients

- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- Green and black food coloring
- Whipped cream for decoration
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cream together sugar and butter until light and fluffy.
- Beat in eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt in a separate bowl.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk.
- Divide the batter into two bowls. Add green food coloring to one bowl and black to the other.
- Pour the green batter into a greased cake pan.
- Bake for about 25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let the cake cool.
- Once cooled, cut the cake into frog shapes.
- Use whipped cream to decorate as desired, adding eyes and smiles.
Notes
Serve with extra whipped cream on the side. You can also add fruit or sprinkles for extra color.
