Description

A classic Southern dish featuring a hearty combination of shrimp, sausage, potatoes, and corn, perfect for gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 pound smoked sausage, sliced
  • 46 small red potatoes, halved
  • 2 ears corn, cut into thirds
  • 1 onion, quartered
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lemon, halved
  • Old Bay seasoning, to taste
  • Salt, to taste
  • Butter, melted (for sauce)

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, bring water to a boil and add Old Bay seasoning and salt.
  2. Add the potatoes and cook for about 10-15 minutes until they are tender.
  3. Add the sausage and corn, and cook for another 5 minutes.
  4. Finally, add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes until they turn pink.
  5. Drain the boil and spread it out on a large serving platter.
  6. Serve with melted butter and lemon for dipping.

Notes

For added flavor, experiment with spices and herbs. You can also include other vegetables for variety.
