- 1 lb ground beef or lamb
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 egg
- 1 cup crushed tomatoes
- 1/2 tsp chili powder (optional)
Instructions
- Mix together the ground meat, onion, garlic, parsley, cilantro, spices, egg, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into small meatballs.
- Heat some oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the meatballs and cook until browned on all sides.
- Pour in the crushed tomatoes and bring to a simmer.
- Cover and cook for about 20 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through.
- Serve hot with bread or rice.
