Description

A calming and delightful roasted Japanese green tea that can be enjoyed hot or cold.


Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons dried hojicha leaves
  • 2 cups water
  • Sweetener of choice (optional)
  • Milk (optional, for hojicha latte)

Instructions

  1. Bring water to a boil in a small pot.
  2. Once boiling, remove from heat and add the hojicha leaves.
  3. Let the leaves steep for 3-5 minutes, depending on how strong you want the flavor.
  4. Strain the tea into a cup using a fine mesh strainer.
  5. Add sweetener or milk if desired, and stir well.

Notes

Hojicha can be served hot or cold. Experiment with steeping times for different flavor strengths.
