Description

A delightful and visually appealing peach and blue birthday cake perfect for celebrations like baby showers and birthday parties.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ cups sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup peach puree (fresh or canned)
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Food coloring (blue)
  • Frosting of your choice (peach and blue)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two round cake pans.
  2. Mix together the flour, baking powder, and sugar in a bowl.
  3. Cream the softened butter in another bowl and add the peach puree and milk.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, adding the vanilla extract last.
  5. Combine the wet and dry ingredients gradually until smooth.
  6. If desired, mix in a few drops of blue food coloring to create a lovely hue.
  7. Pour the batter equally into the prepared pans.
  8. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Let the cakes cool before frosting.

Notes

For a moist cake, do not overmix the batter. You can add a layer of peach jam between the two cakes for extra flavor.
