Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
- In a bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set it aside.
- In a large bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla extract.
- Gradually mix in the dry ingredients, alternating with milk. Start and finish with the flour mixture.
- Pour the batter evenly into the prepared pans.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cakes comes out clean.
- Let the cakes cool in the pans for about 10 minutes, then turn them out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
