Ingredients
For the Spaghetti Base
8 oz spaghetti
2 large eggs
1 cup shredded mozzarella
½ cup grated Parmesan
1 tablespoon butter, melted
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper
For the Meat Sauce
1 lb ground beef
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 (24 oz) jar marinara sauce (no wine added)
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
For Topping
1–1½ cups mozzarella cheese
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Cook spaghetti according to package directions, then drain well.
In a large bowl, whisk eggs, mozzarella, Parmesan, melted butter, salt, and pepper. Add spaghetti and mix until coated. Press this mixture into a greased pie dish to form a “crust.”
In a skillet, cook ground beef with onion until browned. Add garlic and cook 30 seconds. Stir in marinara, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Simmer 5 minutes.
