Description

A beautiful and delicious centerpiece featuring layers of fluffy vanilla cake, rich whipped cream, and fresh strawberries, perfect for any birthday celebration.


Ingredients

  • 2 layers of vanilla cake
  • 4 cups of strawberries, sliced
  • 3 cups of heavy whipping cream
  • 1 cup of powdered sugar
  • 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
  • Fresh flowers for decoration

Instructions

  1. Bake the cake: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare two round cake pans by greasing them. Mix the cake batter as per your favorite vanilla cake recipe and pour it evenly into both pans. Bake for about 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  2. Cool the cake: Once baked, remove the cakes from the oven and let them cool in the pans for 10 minutes. After that, transfer them to wire racks to cool completely.
  3. Prepare the whipped cream: In a large bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, and continue to whip until stiff peaks form.
  4. Assemble the cake: Place one cake layer on a serving plate. Spread a generous layer of whipped cream on top, then add half of the sliced strawberries. Place the second cake layer on top and repeat the whipped cream and strawberry layers.
  5. Decorate: Once layered, use the remaining whipped cream to frost the sides and top of the cake. Decorate with fresh flowers and any leftover strawberry slices for a beautiful finish.
