Description
A light and smooth strawberry mousse topped with a fresh strawberry sauce, perfect for a delightful dessert.
Ingredients

- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups fresh strawberries, pureed
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon gelatin powder
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup fresh strawberries, sliced
Instructions
- Pour 1 cup of heavy cream into a medium bowl and add 1/2 cup of powdered sugar.
- Beat the cream and sugar on medium-high speed until stiff peaks form.
- Set the whipped cream aside in the refrigerator.
- Combine 1 tablespoon of gelatin powder with 2 tablespoons of water in a small saucepan.
- Allow the gelatin to bloom for about 5 minutes.
- Heat the mixture over low heat until the gelatin dissolves completely.
- Cool the gelatin mixture to room temperature.
- Puree 1 1/2 cups of fresh strawberries in a blender until smooth.
- Add 1 tablespoon of lemon juice to the strawberry puree.
- Fold the cooled gelatin into the strawberry puree.
- Carefully fold the strawberry mixture into the whipped cream.
- Spoon the mousse into individual serving cups.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours until set.
- Prepare the strawberry sauce by combining 1/4 cup of granulated sugar and 1/2 cup of sliced strawberries in a saucepan.
- Heat over medium heat until the sugar dissolves and strawberries soften.
- Cool the sauce to room temperature.
- Drizzle the strawberry sauce over each serving of mousse.
Notes
For best results, use fresh ripe strawberries and serve chilled. Can be made ahead of time.
