Description
A fun and flavorful way to enjoy hard-boiled eggs coated in a delicious seafood boil sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 6 large eggs
- 1½ tablespoons unsalted butter
- ¼ cup garlic, minced
- 2¼ teaspoons seafood seasoning
- 1½ teaspoons lemon pepper seasoning
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 3 teaspoons brown sugar
- ½ teaspoon red chili flakes (adjust to taste)
- ¾ cup low-sodium vegetable broth
- ¼ cup fresh lemon juice
- Salt to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Place eggs in a saucepan and cover them with cold water. Bring the water to a boil. Once boiling, cover the saucepan, remove it from heat, and let it sit for 10–12 minutes.
- Transfer the eggs to an ice bath. Allow them to cool completely before peeling.
- In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
- Stir in the seafood seasoning, lemon pepper, onion powder, paprika, brown sugar, and red chili flakes.
- Pour in the vegetable broth and lemon juice. Simmer for 5–7 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Add the peeled eggs to the sauce, spooning the sauce over them. Simmer for another 5–8 minutes to let the eggs absorb the flavor.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
Notes
Serve these eggs as an appetizer or main dish. They pair well with crusty bread and a fresh salad.
