Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
- Stir in heavy cream and season with salt and pepper.
- Layer half of the sliced potatoes in a baking dish, then pour half of the creamy sauce over them.
- Sprinkle half of the shredded cheese over the sauce.
- Repeat with the remaining potatoes, sauce, and cheese.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes or until golden and bubbly.
- Garnish with fresh herbs before serving.
