Description

A fun and festive dessert perfect for celebrations, birthdays, or any day you want to add joy to your meal with colorful sprinkles and a moist cake.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup rainbow sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. Whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy in another bowl. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla.
  4. Gradually add the flour mixture to the creamed mixture, alternating with milk. Fold in the sprinkles.
  5. Divide the batter between the prepared pans.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then turn out onto wire racks to cool completely.

Notes

For serving, you can frost it with vanilla buttercream or serve it naked to let the sprinkles shine. Store in an airtight container to keep fresh.
