- 1 cup almonds, finely ground
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1 package of filo pastry
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mix the ground almonds, honey, sugar, and cinnamon until well combined.
- Take a sheet of filo pastry and brush it with melted butter. Place another sheet on top and brush again.
- Place a spoonful of the almond mixture at one end of the pastry.
- Fold the sides over the filling and roll it up tightly into a cigar shape.
- Place the cigars on a baking sheet and brush with more melted butter.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- Drizzle with additional honey and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
Serve warm, enjoy with tea or coffee, and consider using brown sugar for a richer flavor.
